Future Goals/Programs of YVSC:

• Seek permanent funding opportunities for the organization

• Foster opportunities for local economic growth in sustainable industries, such as beetle kill, renewable energy industries, green/energy efficient building or other projects that might bring additional jobs to the Yampa Valley

• Grow Zero Waste Initiative county-wide

• Expand organics collection events

• Update and expand YVSC website to be an even more comprehensive resource for the environmental community

• Implement Action Plan from UC Denver Greenhouse Gas Inventory

• Encourage local solar/solar thermal rebate program

• Partner on programs offered through the Governor’s Energy Office

• Support large-scale clean/renewable energy projects

• Support multi-modal transportation initiatives

• Support bio-fuel initiatives and agencies

• Support water conservation initiatives

• Support local food sources through various organizations

• Support local government’s environmental initiatives
