The Routt County Community Food Assessment Report – Part III is now live on the Colorado State University Routt County Extension Office Local Food page.  The 3-part assessment was primarily funded by Live Well Colorado.

Part III further explores and addresses community food security by examining critical pieces of the local food system that include the economics of farming and production, processing, distribution, and the local policies impacting these systems.  The contents also include assets (land, water, labor), and strategies for the connection between local ag and community food security.

Parts I and II include understanding the food environment, policies and programs that affect healthy food access, as well as understanding food insecurity; federal and community food and nutrition assistance programs; fruit and vegetable consumption; and factors and strategies that impact healthy eating.
