It’s a sad goodbye to an environmental friend in Steamboat Springs as Bamboo Market Health Foods closes (officially) at 5 p.m. Thursday March 31. Stop by and wish Anne well and help clear out the remaining inventory at 50 percent off. Everything must go. Bamboo Market is closing after 25 years having opened the small store in March 1991. The owner has supported a wide variety of environmental causes through the years ranging from local foods to the local clean air/non-idling campaign. Right down to the wire, Anne is still doing the right thing by making a list of what all she can donate to local thrift stores after closing. Where I am going to get my delicious baked treat Bongos now? You will be missed. Thank you Anne for all you have contributed to Steamboat through the years!
